Imagining Your Game :)

In this blog I'm going to tell you about our game that we hope to make this year. We are doing our game on Anne Frank. It will help kids learn a little about her and how to write a journal.

  • WHO are you designing your game for? (Include the player's age, abilities, and prior knowledge of your topic.) We are making this for 8th grade student's, they must be able to know how to write a good journal.
  • WHAT will your game teach the player about your topic? (Be specific!) It will teach them how to write a jornal and how often you should write in it.
  • WHERE does your game happen? In the 1800s
    • Describe the world you will design for your game. Our game will be designed in the old days.
    • How will this setting add to the learning experience? It will add learning cause our game is about Anne Frank.
  • HOW does your game world teach the player about your topic? It will tell about the girl and about your journal and how you can compare.
    • What happens in the world that helps the player learn? It helps them learn cause one day they might have to write a journal.
    • How does the player use what they learned to make something happen in the game? It helps them save Anne Frank and her Diary.
  • WHY is a game a better way of understanding your topic than a quiz? Cause it doesn't act like a quiz game.
